Curriulum Activities

As a community, Forest Edge Faith Academy is committed in ensuring the achievement of its goals in academic excellence as well as meeting the national goals of education as outlined by the ministry of education .The main aim of the school is to impart useful knowledge and skills or rather offering a curriculum that prepares young boys and girls for future careers alongside using their talent and energy to develop fully and contribute positive to the global community. In promoting students personal and social development and fostering positive attitudes through:
- Quality of teaching and learning.
- Monitoring students overall progress, academic, personal and social growth.
- Promoting good relationships amongst students, teachers, parents and the society at large.
In order to attain the set aims there numerous academic activities that needs to be done inside and outside the classroom to help. These include;
Every Monday through Thursday we have a number of academic clubs and societies; debates and class meeting which are play a significant role in improving their communication skills and also give them opportunity to share with their teachers challenges they are going through.
In annexation we also make frequent academics trips where necessary. We are aware, learning isn’t just a classroom matter ,we need to break classroom boredomness and in doing so learners visit game parks and other physical features so as to relate the knowledge that’s acquired in class with really contemporary world .
In order to enhance academic development we also embrace formative assessment through our weekly exams for upper primary classes. The primary reason for this is to foster evaluation and monitoring students overall progress; academic, personal and social growth.
Co-Curricular Activities
At Forest Edge Faith Academy we understand and appreciate the role of fun activities such swimming, music, movements, sports and free play in stimulating all areas of development. With regards to that we offer a wide range of clubs and other activities in the school. For example scouts club. Just to mention a few , every Tuesday through Friday different clubs are offered to make our students relax and also show case their talents in different areas.
In addition the school playground has a variety of equipment for their young muscles and their coordination. We also promote sports like soccer for boys and girls, volleyball and netball.
In annexation , we not only go for swimming trips but also we encourage non academic field trips to present learners with opportunities for on exploration and allow them to to put information they have learned in classroom to use in a meaningful way. For lower primary field trips planned to simple destinations allow them to see how the world works and present valuable information in an interactive way
